Fall 2017 Actors
Originally from Tupelo, Mississippi, Stuart Rial received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre with an emphasis in Acting from The University of Southern Mississippi. After graduation, Stuart worked as an Associate Company Member with Playhouse on the Square in Memphis, Tennessee. Most recently, Stuart performed with Thingamajig Theatre Company in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. A few of Stuart’s performance credits include Big River (Huck Finn), Lord of the Flies (Ralph), Hairspray (Brad), Sister Act (Ernie), Into the Woods (Jack), Violet (Monty), Spring Awakening (Ernst), Dearly Departed (Junior), Rock of Ages (Ensemble), and The Matchmaker (Ambrose). Stuart was the 2015-2016 recipient of the Arthur Lessac Voice and Speech Award at The University of Southern Mississippi. Stuart is so excited and thankful to be working with Hampstead Stage Company this fall.
Hope Prybylski is a proud graduate from The University of Southern Mississippi where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance and a minor in English. Recently she worked for New Stage Theatre in her hometown of Jackson, Mississippi as an Acting Intern touring two educational shows around the state and participating in shows on their mainstage and second stage. Her favorite roles include Nina in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, the ensemble of Our Town, the Adding Clerk and others in Machinal, and Lady Nijo and Win in Top Girls. Steve Torres is excited for his second tour with Hampstead. He was previously seen in The Secret Garden and Shakespeare Presents: Hamlet and Other Works. Other credits include: Tecumseh! and Macbeth (Tecumseh! Outdoor Drama); Oedipus El Rey, King Lear, and A Christmas Carol (Dallas Theater Center); Jump/Cut (Echo Theatre); Passion Play and The Mousetrap (Santa Rosa Rep). He also recently served as Assistant Director for Hamlet and directed Titus Andronicus at Tecumseh! Outdoor Drama.
Angie Fennell is excited to be touring again with Hampstead Stage Company! She had quite the adventure on the West tour last year and is excited to go South in 2017. In the past year, Angie has performed in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Arden Theatre), Camelot (Broadway Theatre of Pitman), The Energized Guys (National Theatre for Children), and Buying the Moose (Rainbow Comedy Theatre). Angie received a B.A. in Theater from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.
Jay Glover earned his B.F.A. in Musical Theatre at the University of South Alabama where he appeared in An Enemy of the People (Aslaksen); The Addams Family Musical; All My Sons (Frank Lubey); The Bartered Bride; The Pirates of Penzance (Samuel); I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change; and Children of Eden. He’s been featured at the Springer Opera House in The Little Mermaid; Sister Act; Tommy; Sweeney Todd; High School Musical; Madeline and the Gypsies
This is Kristina Walter‘s second tour with Hampstead. She has previously been seen in Tecumseh!, Macbeth, and Hamlet (Ophelia) at Tecumseh! Outdoor Drama; Metamorphoses, All My Sons, The Three Musketeers, Cyrano de Bergerac, etc. at the University of South Alabama. Kristina is an Advanced Actor Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors and wishes to become a Certified Teacher. Kristina received her BFA in Acting from the University of South Alabama.
Michael J. Whitten
Michael Whitten is excited to join Hampstead Stage Company this fall. Originally from Georgia, Michael now lives in New York. He holds a BFA from Columbus State University and has worked with Lexington Children’s Theatre, the Springer Theatre Academy, Dream Big Performing Arts, and Barrel of Monkeys. Recent shows include Two Gentlemen of Verona (Thurio), The Importance of Being Earnest (Lane, Merriman), Enchanted April (Mellersh Wilton), Fancy Me Mad (Eddie), and Alice in Wonderland (March Hare).
Lydia Burke is so excited to make her Hampstead Stage debut! A graduate of Millikin University (BFA Musical Theatre, BA Spanish), Lydia has most recently been seen on the Millikin stage in Heathers: The Musical, Nice Work If You Can Get It, and Little Shop of Horrors. In her hometown of Indianapolis her credits include The Golem of Havana, American Idiot (Phoenix Theatre), West Side Story, A Chorus Line, Hairspray, and Ragtime (Summer Stock Stage).
