Hampstead Stage hires professional actors who truly believe in the work we do. All of our actors have a college degree, and are hired from professional acting conferences. Little Bits of Light Cast
Rebecca Marowitz (Pepicek) is thrilled to be working at the Hampstead Stage Company this spring! Originally from Seattle, Rebecca received her BFA in musical theatre from The Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. She is now based out of Chicago where her most recent credits include Baskerville, A Sherlock Holmes Mystery (Actress 1) The Full Monty (Vicki) and Fiddler on the Roof (Grandmother Tzeitel) at Timber Lake Playhouse. When not on stage, you can find her enjoying the outdoors.
Joel J. Hunter
Joel J. Hunter (Werner) is very excited to join Hampstead Stage Co! He hails from Michigan, and is a recent graduate of Oakland University with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. Some favorite credits include Peter and the Starcatcher (Peter), Electra (Orestes/Chorus), and A Midsummer Night's Dream (Peter Quince, Demetrius, Puck). In his free time he likes baking sweets, sampling unusual foods, and conquering video games.
Lina Marie (Jacob/Ruth/Red Cross/SS Guard) is thrilled to be joining her favorite theatre family again for her third tour with the Hampstead Stage Company! Having recently graduated with a BFA in musical theatre from The Hartt School in Hartford, CT she is an actor based in NYC. Her favorite projects to work on are new pieces where actors can originate roles and have the freedom to create entirely new art!
Dustin Rothbart (Honza/Hana/SS Guard) is excited to be bringing such an important story to life with Hampstead Stage Company! A Chicago native, Dustin is one of the founding co-artistic directors of Blank Theatre Company. Most recently, Dustin appeared as Georg in Blank’s sold-out inaugural production of Spring Awakening. His Chicago credits include: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Funny Girl (Madkap Productions), The History Boys (Eclectic Full Contact Theatre), Chekov’s The Wedding (Red Theatre), Lester’s Dreadful Sweaters (Lifeline Theatre), Oliver! (Citadel Theatre), Hair, Ragtime (Big Noise Theatre) and The Rocky Horror Show (Underscore Theatre). Dustin is a graduate of the acting program at Illinois State University. www.dustinrothbart.com
Spring 2019 Actors
JaneMarie Erickson is ecstatic to return to Hampstead Stage Company! Originally from Wisconsin, she received a BA in both music and theatre from Ripon College. Her favorite credits include The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (Katrina), Miracle on 34th Street (Doris Walker), and Cymbeline (Imogen). She has been exploring the country as an actor and theatre educator, and can’t wait to explore Treasure Island and the Land of Oz with you this spring!
Jonathan Damare is so excited to be working with Hampstead Stage Company! He is from Louisiana and recently attended D.A.I. Winter Workshop where he certified in multiple disciplines of stage combat. He has a B.A. in Theatre from the University of Southern Mississippi and has been acting with multiple theatres around the New Orleans area for the past couple of years. He is looking forward to bringing these classic stories to life.
Liz Weiner is a native to Rhode Island and resident of Chicago. She graduated with a BFA in Acting from DePaul University in 2018 and studied Shakespeare in Oxford with BADA. Most recently, you could’ve caught her in I Know My Own Heart (Pride Films and Plays). In addition to acting, she is an improvisor, comedian, and writer. Gabriel Fries is excited to be making his debut with Hampstead this spring! He is a Chicago-based actor and bicycle tour guide. Favorite credits include The CiviliTy of Albert Cashier (Sgt Collins), Peter and the Starcatcher (Black Stache), and It’s a Wonderful Life (George Bailey). Gabriel has also taught theatre workshops in Italy, France, and China. He holds a BA in Film from Wesleyan University. You can catch him this coming summer in Metropolis PAC’s production of Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story!
Sam Anderson is thrilled to return for her second tour with Hampstead Stage Company! She holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Western Illinois University, and has also worked with Minot State University Summer Theatre. Some of her favorite credits include A Doll House(Nora), Mother Courage and Her Children(Kattrin), and A Midsummer Night’s Dream(Hermia). When not performing onstage, Sam also enjoys lighting design, psychology, and writing.
Trevor Earley is thrilled to be making his Hampstead Stage Company debut with the Spring 2019 tour. Currently working as an actor in Chicago, Trevor hails from East Lansing, MI, where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Michigan State University. He was most recently seen in The Polar Express (Hobo) at Chicago’s Union Station. He is a passionate actor and musician who seeks to share art with anyone and everyone!
